ceh-41 encodes a a ONECUT class CUT homeobox protein with a single N-terminal OCAM domain; the OCAM domain is a nematode-specific motif conserved between CEH-21, CEH-41, and T02B5.2; ceh-41 is one of three nematode-specific ONECUT genes in a cluster with ceh-21 and ceh-39; ceh-41 has no obvious function in mass RNAi assays.
Predicted to enable RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Predicted to be involved in cell differentiation and regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Predicted to be located in nucleus. Expressed in body wall musculature; neurons; and somatic nervous system.
Map position created from combination of previous interpolated map position (based on known location of sequence) and allele information. Therefore this is not a genetic map position based on recombination frequencies or genetic experiments. This was done on advice of the CGC.
