crb-3 encodes a transmembrane protein related to Drosophila Crumbs and human CRB3; similar to human CRB3, CRB-3 lacks the extensive extracellular domain found in Drosophila Crumbs, as well as in the C. elegans Crumbs family members CRB-1 and EAT-20; CRB-3 shows apical localization in the intestine and pharynx.
Predicted to be located in membrane. Expressed in several structures, including excretory canal; intestinal cell; rectal epithelium; somatic nervous system; and uterus.
[060213 pad] Gene ID appears to have been assigned to multiple CDSs on Multipe clones. (Y55F3BR..?..2006-02-03) (Y62E10A..Y62E10A.20..2006-02-06) (JC8..JC8.14..2006-02-07) (C35B8..C35B8.4..2006-02-08). All genes have now been assigned a unique geneID.
Map position created from combination of previous interpolated map position (based on known location of sequence) and allele information. Therefore this is not a genetic map position based on recombination frequencies or genetic experiments. This was done on advice of the CGC.
