cdr-4 encodes a predicted transmembrane protein that is a member of the CDR (cadmium responsive) family of proteins; cdr-4 expression is upregulated in response to cadmium treatment.
Involved in stress response to cadmium ion. Acts upstream of or within IRE1-mediated unfolded protein response. Located in lysosome. Expressed in pm5; pm6; and pm7.
Map position created from combination of previous interpolated map position (based on known location of sequence) and allele information. Therefore this is not a genetic map position based on recombination frequencies or genetic experiments. This was done on advice of the CGC.
