Interaction_summaryIn wild-type animals, XBX-1 proteins always localize prominently at transition zones/basal bodies and clearly undergo bidirectional transport along ciliary axonemes. In contrast, in the dyf-11 mutant strain, XBX-1 was anchored to transition zones but their signal intensities were significantly reduced compared to wild-type, and no proteins were observed to enter the (truncated) amphid and phasmid cilia.
