T10E10.4 encodes a large (966-residue) protein, predicted to besecreted, with two N-terminal chitin-binding peritrophin-A domainsfollowed by 14 cysteine-rich domains and one C-terminal EB module; thegeneral organization of T10E10.4 protein resembles that of K04H4.2;T10E10.4 has no obvious function in mass RNAi assays but, like CEJ-1 andCPG-2, might participate in chitin synthesis.
Map position created from combination of previous interpolated map position (based on known location of sequence) and allele information. Therefore this is not a genetic map position based on recombination frequencies or genetic experiments. This was done on advice of the CGC.
