Subcellular_localizationUNC-1 was not found in the nucleus but, rather, was distributed along the presumed axons of neurons.
TypeAntibodyanti-UNC-1 antibody,
PatternStaining wild-type C. elegans with anti-UNC-1 antibody showed a punctate distribution of protein along nerve tracts. Staining was most intense in the nerve ring, the retrovesicular ganglion, and the ventral and dorsal nerve cords. Staining was also prominent in the nerve tracts of the snout, around the vulva, and along the sublateral nerve tracts of the body. No staining was seen in other tissues. Staining was noted in late embryos in the nerve ring and ventral nerve cord.
