  Construction_summary: The translational ceh-13::gfp fusion gene (Chalfie et al., 1994; Heim et al., 1995) used in this study was constructed by inserting the PstI fragment derived from pPDpst37 (Wittmann et al., unpublished data) into the vector pPD95.69 (provided by A. Fire). This construct encodes a CEH-13::GFP fusion protein. An integrated ceh-13::gfp construct (pMF1) containing 8.1 kb of upstream sequences, the first exon, the first intron, and most of the second exon, mimics endogenous ceh-13 expression in transgenic animals.
