TreatmentAnimals were grown in liquid RNAi cultures for 2 days and then irradiated at 120 Gy on NGM plates with corresponding RNAi foods by using a Gammacell 1000 (Cs-137) irradiator with a dose rate of 6 Gy/min. The number of mitotic nuclei in the germline was quantified through Nomarski optics 14-17 hours after irradiation as a measure of cell-cycle arrest.
