| Algorithm | DEG between controls and samples treated with DOG were identified using the edgeR and the DESeq software available within the R statistical language suite. Both packages provide tests for determining differential expression in digital gene expression data using a model based on the negative binomial distribution. Calculated p-values were adjusted for multiple testing using the Benjamini-Hochberg correction algorithm. Genes were regarded as differentially expressed when significance on 99% confidence level was confirmed by both tools. | ||
