Interaction_summary"To determine if the other compounds suppress activation of endogenous detoxification genes regulated by SKN-1, we performed quantitative real-time RT-PCR for multiple genes regulated by skn-1 [51,52]. Wildtype N2 worms were treated with 20 mM of each compound for 1.5 h at 20uC followed by 4 h with 2.8 mM acrylamide for PMA or 38 mM juglone for phloroacetophenone and phloretin. PMA reduced induction of five out of seven genes tested (Figure S2A). Phloroacetophenone and phloretin reduced induction of all seven SKN-1 target genes tested."
