| Antigen | Peptide | The peptide pyroGln-Gln-Ala-Asp-Gly-Arg-Met-Cys-Pro-Pro-Gly-NH2 was synthesized on a Multiple Peptide Synthesizer (Perkin Elmer). After removing the protective groups and subsequent purification by reverse-phase HPLC, the peptide was conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (Pierce) with m-maleimidobenzol-N-hydroxysuccinimide ester (Pierce) to use for an antigen. Two rabbits were immunized by the antigen. The antiserum was purified by affinity chromatography using CNBr-activated Sepharose (Amersham Pharmacia Biotech, Tokyo, Japan) conjugating the peptide above. | ||
