PatternGFP was localized to the intestine and neurons in embryonic, larval and adult animals. The earliest observed GFP signal was present in 3-fold or pretzel stage embryos (M.A.P. unpublished data). Intestinal expression is fairly even throughout the length of the intestine of early animals (embryonic and larval stage 1 animals) but becomes weaker in the mid-intestine from larval stage 2 onward. Neuronal expression is robust throughout life, with many neurons in the head region apparent.
