Subcellular_localizationHigh resolution confocal micrographs of individual seam cells expressing the translational fusion indicates that GLF-1::GFP localizes to the cytoplasm.

PatternNo expression of GLF-1::GFP was seen in early embryogenesis. GFP first became visible at the four-fold embryonic stage, after completion of cuticle synthesis and approximately one hour before hatching. The signal was then seen throughout post-embryonic life. Expression was limited to the hypodermal cells. L4 larvae and adults showed much stronger expression of GLF-1::GFP in the seam cells as opposed to the main hypodermal syncytium and head and tail hypodermal cells.
