TypeReporter_gene
PatternWhile being detected in various tissues and parts of the body, including the ventral cord, pharyngeal muscles, uterus, and the tail, the reporter is most strongly expressed in intestinal cells. In the intestinal cells, GFP fluorescence could be detected from the late embryonic stage onward. In very old (30 days) and even dead worms the intestinal fluorescence stays bright, suggesting that the ELO-2::GFP protein is stable.
