PatternTo examine the expression pattern of ubh genes, their translational fusion genes with GFP, i.e. ubh-1::gfp, ubh-2::gfp, and ubh-3::gfp, were constructed and introduced into WT N2 worms. In the descendants harboring the ubh-1::gfp transgene, intense GFP fluorescence was observed in neuronal cells throughout the late-embryonic and postembryonic stages. In addition, the GFP signal was observed in intestinal cells. The ubh-2::gfp and ubh-3::gfp transgenes also showed expression patterns similar to ubh-1::gfp. The neuronal cells expressing UBH-1::GFP included several amphid sensory neurons such as ASK and ASI that can be stained with DiI.
