dos-1 encodes an unfamilar protein with no clear orthologs outside of nematodes; DOS-1 is paralogous to OSM-7, K02F3.7, and ZK507.4, has a predicted signal sequence with 12 conserved cysteine residues, and may be secreted; DOS-1 has no obvious function in mass RNAi assays.
Predicted to enable Notch binding activity. Predicted to be involved in positive regulation of Notch signaling pathway. Predicted to be located in extracellular space.
Map position created from combination of previous interpolated map position (based on known location of sequence) and allele information. Therefore this is not a genetic map position based on recombination frequencies or genetic experiments. This was done on advice of the CGC.
