coh-4 encodes a member of the Rad21/Rec8-like family of cohesion proteins known as kleisins; COH-4, along with its paralogs REC-8 and COH-3, function as members of a meiotic cohesin complex that mediates sister chromatid cohesion.
Map position created from combination of previous interpolated map position (based on known location of sequence) and allele information. Therefore this is not a genetic map position based on recombination frequencies or genetic experiments. This was done on advice of the CGC.
