PatternTBC-2::GFP was found to be ubiquitously expressed in the embryo, starting from the ~200-cell stage, and throughout the larval and adult stages. The strong TBC-2::GFP expression was observed in several known engulfing cell types, such as pharyngeal muscle cells, hypodermal cells and intestinal cells. In addition, a weak GFP signal was also seen in the gonadal sheath cells that engulf germ cell corpses.
