Subcellular_localizationIndirect immunofluorescence of OGT using this antiserum in wild-type C. elegans embryos showed a punctate perinuclear and nuclear pattern. In embryos overexpressing the enzyme, OGT was found within the nucleus in the gut. In other regions of the embryos, the overexpressed OGT exhibited a distinct perinuclear localization. This was particularly striking in the neurons. Thus, the enzyme was found in both the nucleus and the cytoplasm, depending on the tissue overexpressing the cDNA.
TypeAntibodyAnimals transformed with [hsp-16::K04G7.3], followed with immunofluorescence.
