We used a probe for 18s ribosomal RNA on the same blot to control for variations in loading. The probes are described in materials and methods. (B) Quantitative RT-PCR analysis of fog-3 expression in C. remanei. RNA was prepared from single worms of the indicated ages and used for RT-PCR analysis of fog-3 expression. The number of cycles was set so that a twofold dilution of the male samples yielded a corresponding decrease in the intensity of the resulting band. | |||
