WBPicture0000008204 | Description | Fluorescent profiles of transgenic nematodes expressing NHX-4::GFP translational fusion protein. A genomic fragment containing the promoter and entire open reading frame of nhx-4 gene was fused in-frame to GFP. The subcellular location of the fusion protein was determined by either conventional or confocal fluorescent microscopy. Fluorescent images are shown next to the corresponding differential interference contrast photomicrographs. I and J, NHX-4::GFP is expressed ubiquitously and is localized to the plasma membrane (inset of panel I). | |||
