Interaction_summary"Genes which showed the greatest fold up-regulation following IVM exposure in the microarray experiments were further assessed using real- time QPCR. All of the genes examined that were proposed to be up-regulated by the microarray experiments were confirmed to be up-regulated by this technique (Figure 4). sip-1, gst-1 and HSF-1 are genes that have been associated general stress responses. These were included in the RT-QPCR analysis as negative controls and none showed any evidence of induction, supporting the earlier conclusion of a lack of a generalised stress response to IVM exposure."
