Interaction_summary | During early vulval development (late L2 to L3), egl-17::GFP expression is observed in P6.p and its descendants, fading in early L4. In the mid-L4 stage, GFP expression is seen in the vulC and vulD cells descended from P5.p and P7.p, where it remains throughout adulthood. In lin-1(e1275) mutants, reporter expression of egl-17 driven by the distal enhancer or the intact promoter, but not by the proximal promoter alone, increased significantly in P6.p and its descendants and persisted in vulE and vulF cells from mid-L4 stage through adulthood. | ||||

Remark | egl-17 transcription may be regulated by the Ras pathway at least partly through repression, directly or indirectly, by lin-1 and/or lin-31. |
