| Subcellular_localization | The fluorescently tagged protein was expressed on the basolateral surface of the intestine, exclusively in the most posterior intestinal cells, consistent with previous observations (see Expr2235 and Expr2242). To confirm basolateral expression, authors exposed the posterior intestine in situ without exposing the apical, luminal surface to acidic media, which quenched the majority of the pHluorin::PBO-4 fluorescence.
