| Pattern | When observed by GFP fluorescence, TBX-9 was detected in a subset of cells,which were considered to be not only the cells containing the tbx-9 mRNA, but also their descendant cells. During morphogenesis,when the tbx-9 mRNA was no longer detected, the TBX-9 protein was observed in dorsal hypodermal cells, lateral hypodermal cells, ventral hypodermal cells, and intestinal cells. GFP fluorescence in the hypodermis and intestine lasted until the early part of the L1 larval stage, then it disappeared.
