| Pattern | mCherry-tagged MEC-4 protein was distributed in a punctate pattern along the ALM and PLM dendrites. GFP-tagged UNC-7 was also expressed in a punctate pattern in both touch receptor neuron types. However, little overlap was observed between UNC-7 and MEC-4 puncta in either cell type. Thus, UNC-7 does not appear to physically associate with MEC-4-containing mechanotransduction complexes, consistent with a distinct functional role in touch sensation. | |||
