Subcellular_localizationLocalization of HPK-1:: GFP protein is most concentrated in the nucleus often within distinct sub-nuclear sites. HPK-1 co-localizes with HSF-1 at the subcellular level.
TypeReporter_gene
Patternhpk-1 is expressed broadly during embryogenesis, but becomes more restricted in expression during larval development. L3-stage larvae display robust expression of the GFP fusion in many head and motor neurons, and lower levels of expression in the intestine and the seam cells of the hypodermis. By late L4 stage, GFP expression is largely restricted to neurons, and is maintained in nerve cells of the head and nerve cord during adulthood, congruent with a previous study.
