PatternALG-2 was predominantly expressed in subsets of neurons in the head ganglia. Cells in the tail also displayed specific expression. Expression was seen in vulva, seam cells, ventral nerve chord and somatic gonad.
Examination of the ALG-2 expression during larval development did not reveal differences in expression during the four larval stages and adults. During embryogenesis ALG-2 started to be expressed from pre-morphogenetic embryonic stages.
