WBPicture0000010568DescriptionImmunostaining in wild-type animals. Confocal images of each tissue in wild-type ((a), (d), (f), (h) and (k)), stained with the R16 antibody. Each panel shows the following: L4 worm (a), head region (h), body wall muscles (d), vulval muscles (f) and anal muscle of the hermaphrodite (k). The arrow in (a) indicates the staining in intestine. The R16 antibody stained the isthmus and terminal bulb in pharynx of wild-type ((h), arrowheads). The labeling pattern in the muscles of body wall (d) and vulva (f) was seen to be composed of a series of small dots. Note that the signal was seen in the depressor muscle ((h), open arrowheads) but not in the sphincter muscle of the defecation muscles ((h), arrowhead). Bar represents 50 um ((d), Bar represents 20 um).
