WBPicture0000008938DescriptionCeCENP-A colocalizes to the diffuse kinetochores of one-cell stage C. elegans embryos. (A) Wild-type embryos were stained to visualize DNA (cyan), MTs (red), and Ce-CENP-A. Different stages during the first division of the C. elegans embryo are shown. The sperm-derived pronucleus with associated centrosomal asters is to the right and the oocyte-derived pronucleus to the left in the early prophase and prophase panels. The weak spindle pole staining in the Ce-CENP-A metaphase and anaphase panels is nonspecific.
