| Pattern | In dauer animals expression was observed in the hypodermis and intestine. Expression is undetectable under the dissecting scope in uncommitted L2d. Intestinal expression increases after dauer-commitment and peaks in intensity in pheromone-induced dauers and starvation-induced dauers. The intestinal expression remains, but the intensity is significantly reduced in aged dauers and disappears from the center of the intestine in post-dauer L4s. Hypodermal expression is detectable in 14% of the dauer-committed L2d and exists in all dauers. | ||||
