[040707 ar2] Converted to non-coding-transcript as 4th exon defined by OST has a STOP codonAccession_evidenceNDBCB406682
[060519 pad] Gene prediction converted into a pseudogene for re-classification purposes only, the non_coding_method is reserved for ncRNAs as well as unfavourable transcript data that conflicts with other data or the annotated CDS.Curator_confirmedWBPerson1983
[060904 pad] Split W01A8.2 into W01A8.2 (5' gene containing DUF167) and W01A8.8 (the 3' gene) based on detailed analysis of the predicted products of these 2 genes. This goes against the OST read covering this gene that splices from the end of W01A8.2 to exon 3 of W01A8.8. The new W01A8.8 prediction has a strong signal peptide signal cleavage site at between aa 20-21. W01A8.2 now fills a gap in wormpep where DUF167 genes only exist as a single copy in a number of related species where elegans was missing a copy of this gene. All transcript data suggests that these genes are expressed as a single unit and therefore this is a good candidate operon or complex loci yielding two gene products.Curator_confirmedWBPerson1983
