TypeAntibodyRabbit polyclonal antibody against DPY-26 recombinant protein.
PatternIn male embryos, DPY-26 was localized in the nucleus, but was not exclusively associated with the male X chromosome at any time during development. DPY-26 associates with with condensed mitotic chromosomes in male embryos.
In wild type XX embryos, before 30 cell stage, DPY-26 was distributed diffusively in interphase nuclei. Dpy-26 was also associated with all chromosomes as they condensed and underwent mitosis. In contrast, in older embryos (> 30 cell stage), in which dosage compensation is activated, the DPY-26 staining pattern in interphase was subnuclear and punctate, and this pattern persist in somatic cells throughout development.
