pm5 are fluorescent. There are three elongated
pm5 (binucleated) cells that cover the isthmus region of the pharynx from the metacorpus to the terminal bulb. The bright fluorescence dorsal and posterior to the pharynx bulb comes from the head mesodermal cell (hm), a mesodermal cell with neuronal like processes. In the tail, anal muscles (am) are fluorescent (see (c)). Note the helical twisting of muscle quadrants characteristic of
