"To analyze the activity of the ILS pathway under heat stress, we measured gene expression of
daf-28, a homolog of insulin, and
ins-7, a homolog of IGF-1, which are Daf-2 agonists (Wormbase:
http://www.wormbase.org). Therefore, we focused on their insulin-like peptides. The results showed that the
ins-7 and
daf-28 expression was remarkably decreased by heat stress (Fig. 5). Therefore, itwas suggested that heat stress inactivates the insulin-like signaling pathway."
