hlh-14 mutants have extra T cells, we used a C50B6.8::gfp reporter. C50B6.8 is a C. elegans gene that is expressed in the ten hypodermal seam cells, including the T cells (Mounsey et al., 2002) (Fig. 5C)... With this GFP reporter, we observed that
hlh-14 mutants often have extra GFP-expressing cells in the tail, presumably extra T (or T-like) cells (Fig. 5D)... Notably, these supernumerary T-like cells are smaller than normal T cells (Fig. 5D)."
