Electrophoretic mobility shift experiments show that END-1 (involved in
elt-2 initiation), ELT-2 (involved in
elt-2 maintenance) and ELT-7 (probably involved in both
elt-2 initiation and maintenance) can all bind in vitro to each of the four conserved TGATAA sites in CR III
elt-2 promoter region.
