lim-6, which is normally expressed exclusively in ASEL, is required to repress
gcy-5 expression in ASEL
(cgc3509).
lim-6 was expressed in both ASEL and ASER (and in all other neurons of the nervous system, using the
unc-119 promoter) in a
lim-6 null mutant background. In these transgenic animals, the loss of
gcy-5 repression in ASEL is rescued. confirming that this promoter produces sufficient levels of a functional LIM-6 protein.
