While
bbs-8 mutants show normal localization of many different cGMP signaling components tested (SRTX-1, TAX-2/4, TTX-4, and TAX-6), they show mislocalization of the GC proteins (26%, 46%, and 30% abnormal for GCY-8, 18, and -23, respectively). Whereas wild-type worms show GC localization only in the finger compartment,
bbs-8 worms also have GCs along the dendrite, and variable, strong accumulation in the fingers.
