The N-terminal and loop
pen-2::GFP fusions gave strong GFP fluorescence in most somatic tissues beginning at the 100-cell stage of development, including neurons, muscle, intestine, and the developing vulva.
pen-2::GFP fluorescence was not detectable in early embryos, even though the
pen-2::GFP transgenes rescue early
pen-2 function.
